Born Pretty Store 6 Shape Silver Rhinestones Review

Good evening lovely ladies and gents, thank goodness it's Friday! A short will ago I was contacted by the always lovely Daisy again from the Born Pretty Store to do another review! If you haven't seen it yet, you can read it here. I actually received 2 items for review, but I've decided to break it down into two separate posts to give them their own spotlight. First up, I will be reviewing the 6 Shapes Silver Glitter Rhinestones Nail Art Decorations.

Shipping and Packaging
The package arrived a little over 3 weeks after being sent from their facility in Hong Kong which is their average shipping time. Both items arrived in a large bubble mailer & the rhinestones themselves are contained in a wheel came in a cute little baggy.

Product and Trial
These rhinestones are all silver (Duhhhh :p) and come in 6 different shapes. These shapes are:
-Stars
-Hearts
-Flowers
-Squares
-Circles
-Ovals

I used all of shapes in the manicure below to give you some ideas of how they can be used for designs. My base color is For Audrey by China Glaze which is a beautiful tiffany blue.

Final Thoughts
Overall I give this product a thumbs up! My only disappointment was that I wish the hearts were more defined, they looked like indented circles in my opinion. But I would still recommend it because it is very affordable and rhinestones are always "in" year round.

The 6 Shape Silver Rhinestones costs $3.84 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout, you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase!

Don't forget to stay in touch with the Born Pretty Store for more deals and updates!

Candeo Colors - Snowbird Swatches & Review

Good afternoon my loves<3 ! Today's post is gonna be short yet sweet because I am 1) Lazy and 2) Tired ( At least I'm honest haha).

This polish is called Snowbird by Candeo Colors. Snowbird is a glitter topcoat containing matte blue glitters in various sizes, medium gold holo hexagonal glitter, and tiny holographic green glitters.

Below Snowbird is shown over 2 coats of NYC's Water Street Blue.

I love this polish! It applied beautifully and its such a beautiful twist on the expected blue winter polish. In retrospect, I should have swatched this over a lighter color so you could truly see the beauty of this polish. Perhaps I will in the future and update this post, who knows.

Candeo Colors - Fully Loaded Swatches & Review

Happy Hump Day! We are officially half way through the week, and I don't know about you but I am ready for the weekend!

Today on the blog is Fully Loaded by Candeo Colors from their winter collection. Fully Loaded is a glitter topcoat that consists of small white hex, black holo hex, black squares, and different sizes of grey hex glitter with a subtle holographic shimmer.

Below is one coat of Fully Loaded shown over 2 coats of Yellow Whiz by Milani.

I love how shiny this polish looked without a top coat and how flat the glitter lays. The holographic shimmer also adds a nice touch to cream polishes without over doing it. They nailed the glitter ratios in this polish! (No pun intended). So what do you think? A must have polish, or one you'll pass on?

Candeo Colors - Laser Light Swatches & Review

I absolutely despise Mondays, who agrees with me?!?! But I love blogging which I will do whenever and where ever (but I admit once I am finish writing this post, I am going to SLEEP!).  Today's polish is another Candeo Colors polish in the color Laser Light.

Laser Light definitely lives up to its name! Laser Light is a glitter top coat that is jam packed with holographic bar, hexagonal, and even crescent shaped glitters. Below is one coat of Laser Light over 2 coats of Finger Paints Go Van Gogh!

I'm usually not a fan of anything with bar glitters because they tend to lift or require special placement so they are not hanging over your free edge, but these ones did not! The glitter laid completely flat and applied decently on the nail. The only thing I have to say is to make sure your base color is completely dry or it might drag off.

What's on your nails today?

Candeo Colors - Sweet Sierra Swatches & Review

Good evening everyone! Hope you all had an amazing holiday weekend jam packed with lots of shopping for those of you who it applies to, and even if it does not I still hope everything was good.

Today I have the first of 4 Candeo polishes I will be swatching for you that I won from the lovely women behind Llarowe, Leah Ann LaRowe <3. It is called Sweet Sierra & it is apart of their winter 2012 collection. It is a glitter top coat containing purple, pink, and silver holographic glitters of many different shapes and sizes.

Below one coat of Sweet Sierra shown over 2 coats of Milani Cool Vibes.

I was actually so surprised by the quality of the polish. It didn't require any special application and was not thick at all! I've had a seriously horrible experience with one of their polishes before, so this was like a complete redemption. Did I forget to mention it is BEAUTIFUL?!?

Bring On The Snow!

Good afternoon my loves! Personally, I was gonna wait until December to start these but.... It's time for HOLIDAY NAILS!!!! I was kindly sent an email from Nail Polish Canada asking to take part in a nail art contest, and how could I not? This week's theme is snow. My base color is Milani in the color Sail Away, and everything else is hand drawn. Here's what I came up with.

If you could please do me a favor and vote for me it would be greatly appreciated. I'm going up against some really big bloggers and to be honest I'm kinda nervous ahaha.

Playing With Polish

Welcome to another dreadful Monday guys, so dreadful that my nails were naked when I went to school *gasps*!

In hopes to brighten my day, I decided that I should "mix things up" .... Literally.

This polish I frankened which is still nameless, is a magenta based jelly polish with pink and red glitters of various shapes and sizes along with matte black glitters. It kind of reminds me of crushed berries. What do you think?

Movember Manicure #2

Good morning! Today's post is my second  manicure for Movember. I've been slacking a lot lately when it came to these manicures, but I hope to have at least 7 before the end of the month.

For this manicure, I used Cult Nails in the color Nevermore as the base polish. I then used my glequins from the Born Pretty Store ( Full review here ) in various colors to make the mustaches. If I could go back in time I would certainly do them all silver, that one is my personal favorite!

You're Still Loved, Facebook's Just Dumb.

Quick little update for all my fellow bloggers out there with Facebook fanpages. In case you have been wondering why no one is commenting on your updates or seeing them, it's because any updates made today (within the last couple of hours at least) are not showing up on any pages. The only people that can see the update are those who are lucky enough to receive it on their timelines, because as we all know by now Facebook is charging us to have all our fans see our posts. Hopefully it starts working "normally" soon.... Stupid Failbook!

World Diabetes Day

Good afternoon ladies and gents! Today's manicure is dedicated to World Diabetes Day. Diabetes as long as cancer and high blood pressure is very common to my family unfortunately, so I decided to show my support by painting my nails blue as other bloggers are doing as well.

The colors I used for this manicure are:
*NYC - Water Street Blue
*Darling Diva Polish - Dreamy
*OPI - Swimsuit Nailed It

The stamping plate I used are these cute little circles on CH48 that reminded me of the World Diabetes Day logo.

Darling Diva Polish - The Pumpkin Queen Swatches & Review

Good afternoon guys! This is the final polish from Darling Diva Polish I have to show you. This one is called The Pumpkin Queen and it is apart of her Halloween Collection. The Pumpkin Queen is a very colorful glitter top coat with various colors such as red, orange, yellow, green, and blue glitters in various sizes. There is also large purple hexagonal glitter and green crescent moons within the mix. Below is one coat of The Pumpkin Queen over two coats of NYC's Manhattan.

I love how easily this applied. The base was not thick and making streaks on the base color. The glitter itself did not require any special application which is a huge bonus in my eyes. This polish is truly one of a kind and will look beautiful over almost any color.

Darling Diva Polishes costs between $8-$12 and can be purchased from her etsy shop found here. Don't forget to check out her Facebook fanpage found here also for sneak peeks, updates, and deals!
